Caol Ila 12 Years old 52% abv 70cl

The European Goldfinch – marked out by the vibrant splash
of red on its head – makes its summer home in Scotland,
stripping feathery down from our native thistles to line its
nest. When winter falls, these distinctive little birds migrate
to the south of Spain, settling close to the sherry bodegas
that the whisky industry relies for its supply of richly casks.
The Goldfinch delivers excellent and classic sherry finished
single malt whisky

A beautiful light, smoky Islay single malt whisky from Caol
Ila Distillery, that has been finished in a Pedro Ximénez
sherry cask. The combination of beach bonfires, creamy
butterscotch, tropical notes and light spice with that
recognisable peat smoke is too hard to resist. Released at
cask strength and aged for 12 years. What a treat to see this
stunning Caol Ila finished in a rare PX cask.

Tasting Notes:
Nose ：Fragrant malt, almonds and wood smoke with hints of marzipan jump out at you.

Palate：A salty, smoky tang melds with the dried tropical fruits in abundance.

Finish： Slow and wonderfully lingering, iodine notes blend with chocolate laced almonds. Incredible.
